Princess Nabila Phinisi
Komodo boat trip for one traveller
Updated 12 October 2026
A solo guest on Princess Nabila who wants a cabin alone pays two shares, for example two times IDR 5,150,000 (≈ USD 316) in a sea-view cabin on 3D2N, because cabins are sold for a minimum of two and no solo supplement is printed. The open trip sails every Monday and Friday with up to 25 guests aboard.
A cabin on this boat is sold in twos
Cabins are sold for a minimum of two, and the fare is printed per person for two sharing. A guest who travels alone and wants a cabin to themselves pays two shares. No solo supplement is printed anywhere, so there is no smaller figure to find and no discount to ask for.
Work out your number from the fare table on the cabins page. In a sea-view cabin two shares on 3D2N come to two times IDR 5,150,000 (≈ USD 316) on the current list. In the Flores suite they come to two times IDR 5,600,000 (≈ USD 344), and in Jawa or Sumbawa, the master cabins with a private balcony, to two times IDR 5,950,000 (≈ USD 365). For the 2D1N option the sea-view figure is two times IDR 4,400,000 (≈ USD 270).
The cabin you pay for is yours alone. It has a double bed, a single you will not need, a private bathroom, air conditioning and a window on the sea.
There is no pairing service for solo guests, so a solo booking is never matched with another traveller.
Two ways to lower the bill
First, bring someone. A friend who takes the second share turns the fare into the ordinary per-person price, and the two of you can sleep apart, one in the double and one on the pull-out bed.
Second, take the two-day option. You join the same sailing as the three-day guests, which includes Taka Makassar on day two, and step off in Labuan Bajo between 19:00 and 20:30 that evening. A night of cost drops out. Day two still holds the ridge at Padar or Gili Lawa, the walk at Komodo village or Rinca, the beach at Pink Beach or Namong and the snorkels at Manta Point and Taka Makassar.
If neither works, a day trip by speedboat from the harbour gets you to the park for a day without a cabin fare. It does not give you a night aboard.
The cards below list the next Monday and Friday departures, each with an Ask about this date button. The full calendar on the open-trip-dates page marks a date close to full with Few cabins left.
Monday and Friday sailings still open. A missing date has sailed or filled. Charters and docking hold the rest.
A boat of up to 25, seen from one seat
Meals are the place where a solo guest meets the others. The restaurant has no dining tables. It has a square buffet island in the middle and wooden counters along both window sides and the inner wall, with about 20 chairs, so you sit beside whoever is next to you with the sea at your elbow. Nobody has an assigned table because there are none.
The same goes for the sun deck in the evening, where the bean bags in yellow, pink and navy and the wooden benches on the turf are shared, and for the tender and the walks on land. A cabin with a closing door and its own bathroom is there for the other times.
We cannot say who the other guests are. The mix on the date you choose is not printed, and it changes every departure.
Bring a book for the afternoon when the boat is moving between stops, and a reusable bottle, since water, tea and coffee are free-flow.
Arriving alone: pickup, safety and the first evening
Arrive in Labuan Bajo the day before the sailing. Pickup is free both ways from the airport, a hotel or the harbour, and on the open trip it falls between 10:30 and 11:55, with the exact time sent the day before. You travel in the vehicle shared with the group. You do not need the upgrade that large parties ask for.
We need your name and passport details with the balance, 30 days before departure. If you want a hotel room for the night before, ask us to line one up.
On the boat, life jackets, life rings, a first-aid kit and a life raft are on the boat's printed list, and the open-trip fare includes a local guide. Tell the guide before the first snorkel if you are not a confident swimmer, and say at the first meal if you have a medical need, since the crew cannot act on what it does not know.
If you are travelling alone for the first time in Indonesia, read the first-visit page for visa and money before you book flights.
When another plan fits one traveller better
Choose a smaller shared boat if two shares of a cabin are more than your budget. This boat is a 33 m phinisi for up to 25 guests, and a figure printed for two cannot be halved.
Choose a dive vessel if you want to dive, since this boat has no tanks and no compressor. Choose a day trip if you have one day and no wish to sleep on the water.
Choose a main-deck cabin if stairs are a problem, since there is no lift. Jawa, Papua and Maluku need no stair to reach the restaurant.
Choose this boat if you want a private bathroom, a closing door and a sea window, with other guests and a crew of 8 around you. Pick the date from the calendar, name the cabin class and tell us you are travelling alone, and the quote shows two shares.
FAQ
What does one person pay for a master cabin on their own?
Two shares of the master fare, which is IDR 5,950,000 (≈ USD 365) per person for 3D2N on the current list, so twice that figure. The fare is the same for Jawa and Sumbawa. A cabin is sold for a minimum of two and no solo supplement is printed, so there is no lower price for one.
Is the two-day trip cheaper for one traveller?
Yes, because the fare per share is lower. A sea-view cabin to yourself costs two shares of IDR 4,400,000 (≈ USD 270) on the current list. You sail with the 3D2N guests, see Taka Makassar on day two and leave the boat that evening.
Will the boat put me in a cabin with a stranger?
No. There is no pairing service for solo guests, so a single guest who wants a cabin pays two shares and has the cabin to themselves. If you would rather share the cost of the cabin, bring a friend as the second share.
Where do I sit at meals if nobody knows me?
At the counters. The restaurant has a central buffet island and wooden counters along the windows and the inner wall, with about 20 chairs and no dining tables. You take a plate from the island and sit where there is a seat. On a full boat of 25, meals run in two sittings.
How do I reach the pier alone from the airport?
Pickup is free both ways from the airport, a hotel or the harbour. On the open trip it falls between 10:30 and 11:55 on day one, with the exact time sent the day before. You ride in the vehicle shared with the group. Arrive in Labuan Bajo the day before the sailing.
