Komodo National Park entrance fees for a boat trip, per person per day
Updated 12 October 2026
Park tickets are in no Princess Nabila fare. A foreign visitor pays IDR 250,000 per person per day. Indonesian citizens pay IDR 50,000, or IDR 75,000 when the day falls on a weekend or public holiday. Each ticket is bought online in the visitor's name. Ranger and pier charges are extra.
Who pays, and what the table shows
Whatever fare sits underneath, every visitor who enters the park pays. The table gives the daily entry fee for foreign visitors and for Indonesian citizens, the higher weekend and public-holiday rate that applies to the Indonesians, the regulation behind the figures and the date they were last verified.
Open-trip fares, private charters and every quote we write leave the entrance ticket out. The park sets these fees, not us, so the table copies the park's figures and is not a price of ours.
A higher fee for foreign visitors has been under study since April 2026, and no amount or date has followed. Check the current tariff before you book. If the park changes a fee before you travel, we correct the quote before the balance is due.
| International visitors | IDR 250,000 per person per day |
| Indonesian visitors | IDR 50,000 per person per day · IDR 75,000 weekends & holidays |
Park tickets are bought online, one per visitor and in that visitor's own name, and are paid separately from the fare. Ranger and pier charges come on top and can change. Regulation: PP 36/2024 · Verified 10 October 2026.
Where and when you pay
Tickets are bought online through the park's own system, SiOra, in each visitor's name and passport number. There is no cash at the gate. The payment is separate from the fare and separate from our invoice.
We tell you which names and numbers to enter, and by when. The name on the boarding pass has to match the passenger list, so the passport list is due with the balance, 30 days before departure, as the booking steps lay out.
Foreign and Indonesian guests pay different rates, so the list carries a nationality for every guest, with a passport or ID number. That one list serves three purposes: the boarding pass, the park ticket and the quote. Keep each guest's confirmation in the group chat, because a missing ticket is easier to spot there than at the pier.
Budget for your group
Multiply the fee per person by the number of visitors and by the number of days you are inside the park. The rows below show 2, 4 and 10 visitors for one, two and three days. For 20 foreign guests, double the 10-visitor row.
The days inside the park depend on the route, so ask for the count on the quote and do not count nights. A group with both foreign and Indonesian members needs two sums, one at each rate, and the Indonesian sum moves with the day of the week.
Park tickets come on top of the fare. At 16 guests on 3D2N the boat costs IDR 5,220,000 (≈ USD 320) a head, and the ticket is a separate line beside it. Put both in the per-head figure you give the group, or the organiser meets the difference at the end.
| Guests | Days | International | Indonesian | Indonesian · weekends & holidays |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2 | 1 | IDR 500,000 | IDR 100,000 | IDR 150,000 |
| 2 | 2 | IDR 1,000,000 | IDR 200,000 | IDR 300,000 |
| 2 | 3 | IDR 1,500,000 | IDR 300,000 | IDR 450,000 |
| 4 | 1 | IDR 1,000,000 | IDR 200,000 | IDR 300,000 |
| 4 | 2 | IDR 2,000,000 | IDR 400,000 | IDR 600,000 |
| 4 | 3 | IDR 3,000,000 | IDR 600,000 | IDR 900,000 |
| 10 | 1 | IDR 2,500,000 | IDR 500,000 | IDR 750,000 |
| 10 | 2 | IDR 5,000,000 | IDR 1,000,000 | IDR 1,500,000 |
| 10 | 3 | IDR 7,500,000 | IDR 1,500,000 | IDR 2,250,000 |
Entry fee only, set by PP 36/2024. Ranger and pier levies come on top. The weekend domestic rate covers Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. Verified 10 October 2026.
What else is outside the fare
- The ranger. Every walk in the park goes with a park ranger, and the park sets how many guests walk with one ranger and what the ranger costs.
- Pier levies, which can change.
- A drone permit, if anyone wants a drone in the air. No drone flies without one.
- Tipping and personal spending.
- Photo and video documentation and the local guide, which a private charter does not include. Both are quoted when you ask for them.
Snorkelling is covered by the entry ticket, so the reef stops carry no second fee. This page prints no ranger figure and no drone-permit figure. We quote each as its own line before you pay.
Quota, closures and the either-or stops
The daily visitor limit for 2026 is set out, with its sources and dates, in the journal post on park tickets. On the open trip the quota picks one stop from each pair: Padar or Gili Lawa on one side, Komodo village or Rinca on the other. The ticket is priced per day and not per island, so the entrance amount is the same wherever the boat lands.
Komodo and Padar have been closed for waves and wind on past dates while Rinca stayed open. The first-visit page lists the recent closures, and we do not forecast them. If an order stops the boat from sailing, the substitution guarantee in the booking terms applies and we confirm the replacement on your dates.
Send us the dates and the nationality of every guest, and the quote shows park tickets as their own lines.
FAQ
Do I pay the park fee once per trip or once per day?
The ticket is charged per person and per day, never once per trip. Every day you spend inside the park adds IDR 250,000 for a foreign visitor, so a longer route with more park days costs more in tickets while the fare stays the same. Ask us how many park days your route has.
Is snorkelling covered by the park ticket?
Yes, the entry ticket covers snorkelling, so there is no second fee at the reef stops. Ranger fees and pier levies are separate, and the boat supplies a mask and snorkel without fins on the open trip and on a charter.
Is the park ticket paid at the gate or on the boat?
Neither. No cash is taken at the gate and none is collected on the boat. Tickets are bought online through SiOra in each visitor's name, and our invoice never includes them. We tell you which names and numbers to enter.
Do children need a park ticket?
We hold no child rate for the park ticket, so we print none. Give us each child's age and nationality, and the quote states the rate for every child before you pay. Children under 3 travel free on the boat, which is a different matter from the park ticket.
Does the weekend rate apply to foreign visitors?
No. The foreign fee is IDR 250,000 on every day of the week. Only the Indonesian rate changes, from IDR 50,000 on weekdays to IDR 75,000 at weekends and public holidays. A mixed group therefore prices each guest on nationality and, for Indonesian guests, on the day.
