Princess Nabila is a wooden phinisi sailing from Labuan Bajo with 7 cabins, 21 fixed berths and a licence for 25 guests. A 3D2N whole-boat charter costs IDR 5,220,000 (≈ USD 320) a head for 16 guests. Single cabins sell on the open trip every Monday and Friday. Park tickets are extra.

21 fixed berths, a licence for 25

7 cabins sit on two decks: 3 on the main deck and 4 on the upper deck, none of them below the waterline. The roof is a sun deck where nobody sleeps. The first 21 guests each have a fixed bed, and guests 22 to 25 sleep on extra beds in the cabins that take a fourth. The licence stops at 25.

A party of more than 25 needs a second boat, so ask us about one. Charter dates are confirmed against the boat's calendar, and the kinds of cabin are settled in the quote (see the booking steps).

The head-count line: what each person pays

Read the table down to the number of people actually coming. Each row is the printed whole-boat price for that band, plus the per-guest amount above 20, divided by the head count. Inside a band the total holds still, so a 15th guest joining a group of 14 brings each share to IDR 5,070,000 (≈ USD 311).

Against the open trip, 15 and 16 guests cost about the same per head, from 17 guests the whole boat costs less, and below 15 the open-trip bed is cheaper. Park tickets are in neither. The open trip includes a guide and a photo set that a charter quotes separately, so add them to the charter side first.

The route, one line a day

Day one: pickup, boarding, then Kelor, Manjarite and the flying foxes at Kalong as the sun goes down. Day two opens with Padar, the first stop of the day, and continues to Komodo or Rinca, Pink Beach, Manta Point and Taka Makassar. Day three is Kanawa or Seture and a pier arrival between 10:00 and 11:00, so book the flight home after 14:00.

On two pairs the park quota chooses for you, Padar or Gili Lawa, then Komodo village or Rinca. A private 3D2N swaps day three for Sebayur and Kanawa. Every stop is listed on the 3D2N route page. Shorter and longer plans: full day, 2D1N, 4D3N, and 5D4N on the charter page.

The open trip: every Monday and Friday

The cards above carry the 3D2N fare per person for two sharing, and a third or fourth guest in a cabin pays the extra-bed rate, which is quoted with the booking. A 2D1N fare exists from IDR 4,400,000 (≈ USD 270): two-day guests join the same sailing, visit Taka Makassar on day two and are back at the pier between 19:00 and 20:30. Both fares include the local guide, the photo and video set, all meals, and mask and snorkel, and leave out park tickets, flights and tips. A cabin sells for a minimum of two shares.

Monday and Friday sailings still open. A missing date has sailed or filled. Charters and docking hold the rest.

Departure calendar

When this boat fits your group, and when it does not

Who this boat is for

  • Groups of 16 to 25 who would otherwise hire two boats
  • Companies whose outing head count can still move
  • Extended families who want every bedroom above the waterline
  • Organisers who must show a per-person figure first
  • Couples wanting one open-trip cabin with a private bathroom

Who should look elsewhere

  • Divers who need tanks and a compressor on board
  • Snorkellers who need fins and will not bring their own
  • Guests who need a lift between the decks
  • Two people wanting the whole boat: a couple pays IDR 30,500,000 (≈ USD 1,871) each on a 3D2N charter

Choose another boat when

  • You need all 25 guests seated indoors: about 20 counter seats, no dining tables
  • You expect a cabin for each couple at 25 guests: it means three or four to a cabin
  • You are counting on roof shade: the turf deck is open to the sky

Company outings, big groups and graduations

Three kinds of trip have a page of their own, with the head count, cabins and cost per person worked out for that group.

  • Company outing: one invoice to the organiser, and cabins split by team.
  • Large group: 16 to 25 guests sharing one restaurant, one sun deck and one bill.
  • Graduation trip: a class or a circle of friends splitting one charter, three to a cabin.

Meetings on board, island dinners, decorated decks and a photographer with a drone are quoted on request, and a drone needs a park permit. The pickup and events page lists them all.

Choosing a month, and where we collect you

The dry season runs April to November, the wet season December to March. For a group the year falls into four blocks.

  • April to June, October and November: calm sea and high visibility, the easiest months for guests of mixed ages.
  • September: a moderate sea, high visibility and mantas at their peak.
  • July and August: a rough sea, high crowds and mantas at their peak.
  • December to March: wet, with a rough sea and low visibility in January and February.

Pickup in Labuan Bajo is free both ways, from any hotel or the airport. The open-trip window is 10:30 to 11:55 and the exact time arrives the day before, while a charter is collected at the hour fixed in the confirmation. A bigger party can add a Toyota HiAce, up to 12 seats a vehicle, or a larger coach on request, both quoted apart from the fare.

To start, send the head count, the dates, the nights and the cabins you expect.

Reviews, and where to follow us

Guests on trips we have planned

“We saw not one, not two, but seven manta rays swimming together and I got to swim right among them. One passed maybe 2 metres below me and I could see every detail of its pattern.”

“Hands down the best tour I've joined in 6 months of travelling Southeast Asia — not too fancy, not too basic, just right. Sleeping on deck under stars was a major highlight. Worth every penny of my tight budget.”

“Very good boat, good experience, and fulfilled my dream to see a Komodo dragon.”

FAQ

Can a company book Princess Nabila and receive an invoice?

Yes. You book with PT Komodo Explorer Indonesia, NIB 1805260128363, and prices include 11 percent VAT. One invoice goes to the organiser. You pay 50 percent as the deposit and the rest 30 days before departure.

What happens if the boat cannot sail on our dates?

Your group sails the same dates on an equal or higher-class phinisi at no added cost, or the fare comes back in full within 14 days. That guarantee covers a breakdown and an order from the harbour or park authority not to sail. Weather is different: the captain reorders the stops on the day and the booking stands.

Do children pay, and what about the roof?

A child younger than 3 travels free beside a parent or guardian, and older children pay the full fare. The sun deck has a low rail, so an adult stays beside every child there. Life jackets, life rings and a first-aid kit are on the boat's printed equipment list.
