Komodo boat trips by occasion: company outings, large groups and graduations

Updated 12 October 2026

Princess Nabila is a group boat first: 7 cabins, 21 fixed berths and a licence for 25. Twelve pages sort the occasions by fit, with company outings, large groups and graduation trips first because they suit a charter. Couples and solo guests fit the open trip. Divers need another boat. Twenty guests pay IDR 4,180,000 (≈ USD 256) each on 3D2N.

Company outing, large group, graduation trip

These three come first because each starts with a head count and a date, and each needs one price that can be divided. The boat is sold whole, so the share falls as the group grows: IDR 5,220,000 (≈ USD 320) each at 16 guests on 3D2N, IDR 4,180,000 (≈ USD 256) at 20 and IDR 3,840,000 (≈ USD 236) at 25.

  • Company outing: one invoice to the organiser, VAT included, and a restaurant that is a dining room and not a meeting room.
  • Large group: past 20 guests every extra head adds one printed amount, and guests 22 to 25 sleep on extra beds.
  • Graduation trip: one organiser holds the money for friends, and the date cannot move.

The boat is a 33 m wooden phinisi with two masts, and in the footage no sail is set on either. Each of the three pages gives the cost per head, the cabin plan and the limit that applies.

Nine more occasions, each with its limit

All twelve pages are linked in the grid below. Read the limit at the top of the page nearest to your reason for travelling, then the price.

  • Family reunion and active trip suit a charter: main-deck cabins need no stairs, and the treks and snorkels fill the days.
  • Honeymoon, couples, solo and on a budget suit the open trip, where a cabin is priced per person for two sharing. A solo guest who wants a cabin alone pays two shares.
  • Photography fits with a condition: the documentation set is part of the open-trip fare only.
  • Master cabins fit with a condition too: the restaurant and the sun deck stay shared.
  • Snorkelling and diving is a snorkelling page. The boat has no tanks and no compressor.

Open-trip bed or whole boat: where the line falls

Head count decides the choice. Below 15 guests an open-trip bed costs less per head than the whole boat. At 15 and 16 guests the two come out about the same, and from 17 guests the whole boat costs less per head, on both printed price lists. Around those numbers the choice is privacy against price.

Events are on request: a meeting on board, a dinner on an island, decoration, a photographer. A quote comes before anything joins the fare, and the pickup-and-events page lists them. Pickup in Labuan Bajo is free both ways.

FAQ

Which occasion pages suit a group of 20?

Company outing, large group, graduation trip and family reunion. A group of 20 pays IDR 4,180,000 (≈ USD 256) each for the whole boat on a 3D2N charter, which sits in the 16 to 20 band at IDR 83,500,000 (≈ USD 5,123). Park tickets, a guide and photographs come on top of a charter fare.

Is there a minimum group size for a charter?

No. The smallest printed band is 1 to 5 guests, which on a 3D2N is IDR 61,000,000 (≈ USD 3,742) for the whole boat. The price per head falls as the group grows, so a small group should compare the charter with open-trip cabins before booking.

Can one trip combine two occasions, such as a reunion and a birthday?

Yes. A birthday dinner, cabin or deck decoration, a family gathering and a photographer are available on request, each with a quote before anything is added to the fare. Tell us both occasions together with the head count.

Which occasions does Princess Nabila not fit?

Diving, because there are no tanks and no compressor. Any event that needs seats at tables for 25, because the restaurant has counters with about 20 chairs. Any trip that needs shade on the roof at midday, or a lift between decks. Each occasion page repeats the limit that applies to it.

Do all occasion pages use the same prices?

Yes. Every figure comes from the same printed rate cards for the whole boat and for the open-trip cabins, so a head count of 16 shows IDR 5,220,000 (≈ USD 320) on every page that mentions it. What changes from page to page is the advice around the figure.
