Labuan Bajo hotels, flights and pickup for a Komodo boat trip

Land in Labuan Bajo the day before the boat and sleep in one of the hotels listed here, all within 20 minutes of the harbour by car except two resorts reached by boat. We advise on flights but sell no tickets. The hotel confirms the room rate for your dates, and your group's pickup is free, both ways.
Land the day before
Be in Labuan Bajo the night before. On the open trip the pickup falls in a window from 10:30 to 11:55 on day 1, and your exact time is sent the day before. On a private charter the pickup is at the hour agreed in your confirmation. Neither plan has room for a morning flight that arrives late, and a delayed flight on the day of boarding costs the group the afternoon.
The airport is 2 to 3 km from the harbour, about 10 minutes by car. We collect the group from its hotel or from the airport and bring it back afterwards, at no charge on every trip. The vehicle is a car or minibus shared by the group. For 20 guests the upgrade is two Toyota HiAce vans of up to 12 seats each, or a larger coach on request, and each upgrade has its own quote.
Give us the name of the hotel, or the flight number if the group meets at the airport, and every guest's arrival day.
Hotels by area
Where the group sleeps decides how the morning starts. In the marina and town centre, Meruorah Komodo Labuan Bajo is about 2 minutes from the harbour by car and Komodo Lodge about 5 minutes away. Both suit a group that wants a short walk or drive to the boat and a dinner in town the night before.
Beside the airport, Crowne Plaza Labuan Bajo by IHG is about 10 minutes from the harbour, which suits a group that lands late. On Pede Beach, Sudamala Resort Komodo and Laprima Hotel Labuan Bajo sit about 10 minutes out. On Waecicu Beach the drive is about 15 minutes to AYANA Komodo Resort, Waecicu Beach and about 20 to Plataran Komodo Resort & Spa. At Wae Rana it is about 18 minutes to Ta'aktana, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa. The hills above town hold Loccal Collection Hotel, about 8 minutes down to the water. The Waecicu and Wae Rana resorts are the choice for a couple who want a resort night on either side of the boat.

Flights into Komodo airport
Komodo International Airport has the code LBJ. Travellers connect through Bali (DPS), Jakarta (CGK) or Surabaya (SUB), with Lombok (LOP) as a smaller feeder, and direct international flights are limited. Direct flights take about 1 hour 10 minutes to 1 hour 20 minutes from Bali, about 1 hour 30 minutes from Surabaya, 2 hours 30 minutes to 3 hours from Jakarta and about 1 hour from Lombok.
These are block-time estimates, and route listings show routes seen, not a guaranteed schedule. They name Garuda Indonesia, Batik Air, Citilink and Indonesia AirAsia from Bali and Jakarta, Super Air Jet from Surabaya and Wings Air from Lombok. Check the airline before you pay. We advise on routes and do not sell tickets.
Fly out by the length of the trip:
- 3D2N and 4D3N: the boat docks by late morning, so book the flight home for after 14:00.
- 2D1N on the open trip: the boat is back between 19:00 and 20:30 on day 2, so fly the next day. A private 2D1N fixes its return hour in the confirmation.
- Full day: the boat is back before sunset, so fly the next day.
A group that lands on three different flights sends every flight number to us, and the vehicles are arranged against them.

We book rooms for groups at the hotels on this page, and the hotel confirms the rate for your dates. Prices move with peak season, so the rate you receive is the one for your dates, and it can differ from the rate for the same hotel a month earlier.
The rate we sell is not printed on this page. A printed rate would be wrong on the first peak date it met.
To book, send the arrival and departure dates, the number of rooms, and who shares with whom. The reply is a short list of hotels with the rate each one confirms for those dates, so you compare figures.
Keep a group of 20 or more in one or two hotels, so that the pickup is one stop or two. Keep the hotel's room list and the boat's cabin plan as two separate documents.
How to read this list
Minutes to the harbour are by car, apart from the island resorts, where they are the boat transfer. They are approximate.
The class word on each hotel is ours. Stars appear only where a hotel is widely stated as five-star.
Where a hotel shows a booking-site rate, it is a rate found on a booking site for sample dates, read on 11 October 2026. Use it to compare classes, not to set a budget. It is not our rate and it is not a quote. Hotels with no figure had no public rate to show.
This list gives class and area, not meeting rooms. If the group needs a hall for a meeting, say so in your first message and name the head count.

Do we need a hotel the night before the boat leaves?
Yes. The open-trip pickup falls between 10:30 and 11:55 on day 1, with the exact time sent the day before, and a charter pickup is at the hour agreed in your confirmation. Landing the day before keeps a late flight from costing the group its first afternoon.
Which hotels are closest to the harbour?

Is pickup free for a large group, and what about the vehicle?
Pickup from hotel or airport costs nothing, in both directions. The base vehicle is a car or minibus shared by the group. A group of 20 can upgrade to two Toyota HiAce vans of up to 12 seats each, or ask for a larger coach. Each upgrade is quoted separately.
Can the whole group book hotel rooms through you?
Yes. We book rooms for groups at the hotels on the list. Send the dates, the number of rooms and who shares, and the hotel confirms the rate for those dates. The rate moves with peak season, which is why this page prints none.
Do you sell flight tickets to Labuan Bajo?
No. We advise on routes through Bali, Jakarta, Surabaya and Lombok, and you buy the ticket from the airline. From Bali the flight takes about 1 hour 10 minutes to 1 hour 20 minutes. Land the day before the boat and send us the flight numbers.
What time should we fly home after a 3-day trip?
After 14:00 on day 3. On the open trip the boat docks between 10:00 and 11:00, then the transfer to the airport follows. On a private 3D2N or 4D3N the boat is back by late morning, and the return hour is fixed in the quote.
