Princess Nabila Phinisi

Komodo honeymoon on a phinisi, two ways

Updated 12 October 2026

A honeymoon couple has two choices on Princess Nabila. Book Jawa or Sumbawa on the open trip, which sails every Monday and Friday, and share the boat with other guests. Or charter all of it for two, at IDR 30,500,000 (≈ USD 1,871) each on a 3D2N. The boat still sleeps 25, so the open trip is a shared boat.

Ask about your date Compare the cabins

Two doors: share the boat or take all of it

A couple who charter the whole boat for 3D2N pay IDR 30,500,000 (≈ USD 1,871) each. That is more than five times what each person pays for a bed on the open trip. For that figure you have seven cabins and eight crew to yourselves, including a chef and a cruise director.

For two people the open trip is the plan that fits a budget. It sails every Monday and Friday, and a master cabin on it is priced for two sharing. You eat from the same buffet and sail the same route as everyone else, and the private balcony is where you step away from them for an hour.

Choose the charter when the boat must be closed to everyone else, when you are bringing a small wedding party, or when the date matters more than the budget. Choose the open trip when you want the cabin and the route and do not mind a restaurant with other couples in it.

What a shared boat means for two people

Up to 25 guests sail on a full departure. The restaurant has a buffet island and counters with about 20 chairs, so at a busy meal you sit beside other guests rather than at a table of your own. The sun deck is open to the sky, with turf, around a dozen bean bags and no shade, and it is shared as well.

Quiet is a matter of the calendar. A date flagged Few cabins left on the departure list is close to full. Any other date reads Ask about this date, so ask us how full it is before you pay.

What you control is the cabin. Every cabin has a door that closes, a private bathroom with a sit-down toilet, air conditioning and a window on the sea. The two master cabins and the Flores suite add a private balcony, which is where a couple finds the hour that is theirs.

Jawa or Sumbawa: choose by balcony and bath

Both master cabins sit at the stern, one above the other, and both have a private balcony. On the current fare list each costs IDR 5,950,000 (≈ USD 365) per person for 3D2N and IDR 5,250,000 (≈ USD 322) for 2D1N.

Jawa is on the main deck. Its balcony sits low over the water and holds an oval wooden tub with two black metal hoops and a gold tap standing in the floor, with two bean bags beside it. The cabin has a rain shower, a wash basin and two light-blue armchairs. Its door is inside the restaurant, at the end of the window counter, so you pass through the dining room every time you go in. It also sits beside the galley, which our rule of thumb, not a measurement, puts as the noisiest position.

Sumbawa is on the upper deck. It has a two-seat sofa, a rain shower and a roofed balcony with a rattan chair and a round table. Its bath is confirmed at booking, as the cabins page explains.

If the bath is the point, take Jawa. If quiet and a view from above are the point, take Sumbawa.

The Flores suite, and when a sea-view cabin is enough

Flores is on the upper deck amidships. Its balcony is recessed into the side of the hull, with two bean bags and a sliding door, and the bathroom has a hand shower and no rain shower. The suite sleeps three at most, so there is no extra bed to worry about. On the current list it costs IDR 5,600,000 (≈ USD 344) per person for 3D2N.

A sea-view cabin has no balcony. It does have one wide window along the bed, a double bed and the same private bathroom. A couple who spend the day on the sun deck and at the stops, and who come back only to sleep, lose very little by choosing one. The fare for a sea-view cabin is IDR 5,150,000 (≈ USD 316) per person for 3D2N on the current list, and the cabins page prints every fare, 2027 included.

A couple uses the double bed. The lower bed is for a third guest and costs the extra-bed rate if someone uses it.

Stairs connect the three levels and there is no lift. If the bride or groom has a bad knee, take a main-deck cabin: Jawa, Papua or Maluku. The sun deck still needs the stairs.

Arrive early, then choose 2D1N or 3D2N

Pickup on the open trip runs from 10:30 to 11:55 on the first day, and the exact time is sent the day before. Arrive in Labuan Bajo the day before and spend the night in a hotel from the hotel list, such as AYANA Komodo Resort, Waecicu Beach. We can book the room alongside the boat.

The 3D2N is the full route, and the 3-day 2-night route page lists the stops. The park quota decides which of Padar and Gili Lawa you get, and which of Komodo village and Rinca. The 2D1N guest joins the same sailing and leaves the boat on the evening of day two. Choose it when the honeymoon continues in a hotel on land.

Celebrations are arranged on request: decoration of the cabin or deck, a dinner on an island, a private island dinner, a special dinner for a birthday or proposal, and a photographer. A quote comes first, and nothing joins the fare without it.

Tell us the date and the cabin you want, and the quote follows.

FAQ

Is the Jawa bathtub private to the couple in the cabin?

Yes. The wooden tub stands outdoors on Jawa's balcony, a private balcony at the stern, reached from the cabin. The balcony sits close to the water, so the view from the tub is the sea, with a deck overhead.

Can the crew set up a proposal or a birthday dinner for us?

Yes, on request. A special dinner, cabin decoration, a private island dinner and a photographer are each quoted before you pay, and nothing joins the fare without the quote. A drone for the photos needs a permit from the park.

Which months suit a honeymoon on the boat?

Seas are calm and the water is clear in April, May, June, October and November. July and August are windier and busier. January and February are wet, with the roughest seas and low visibility. A couple who dislike motion should choose a calm month and a main-deck cabin.

Can we leave after two days and continue the honeymoon in a hotel?

Yes. The 2D1N option joins the same Monday or Friday sailing and returns to Labuan Bajo between 19:00 and 20:30 on the evening of day two. We can book the hotel for that night from the hotel list.

Do we pay the extra-bed rate if we are only two?

No. Two guests sharing a cabin pay the per-person fare, and a couple sleeps in the double bed. The extra-bed rate applies only to a third or fourth guest in the same cabin. Flores takes three guests at most, and the other cabins take four with an extra bed.
